Description
The hardest part for me when drawing quickly is convincing myself to color.
Pixel perfect coloring is very time consuming regularly, but working on the iPad (where I do most of my work) is a million times more so. I don't have the benefits of having a magic wand tool, a selection tool, or even a paint bucket!
All of the coloring in the lines has to be done manually with just a brush tool.
So I often wind up in a situation where I want to color, but knowing the difficulty of what that entails can sometimes make me want to leave it as line art.
The trick then, is knowing to remind myself that it doesn't HAVE to be pixel perfect, especially when this is just a daily practice piece. Throw the paint down, and use a fuzzy eraser to clean up, but don't jump to maximum zoom and a 1 or 2 pixel eraser!
Remember to step back and realize that it's ok if it's not perfect, because that's what practice is for.
